Your Affiliate Profile

Your affiliate profile tells Creators where you promote, what kind of content you make, and what you like to promote. This article explains who sees your profile, how to set it up or edit it, and how to make it stand out.

Were you an affiliate before the Affiliate Directory launched? You're now in the directory, where Creators look for affiliates to partner with. Its default view only shows affiliates with a completed profile, so fill in yours to make sure Creators can see where you promote and what you cover. See How to Set Up or Edit Your Profile below.

What Your Profile Is and Who Sees It

Creators on Superhive can browse an Affiliate Directory of active affiliates when they're looking for people to partner with. The directory lists affiliates by name along with their audience size, primary content format, and channels. Creators can open your profile to see the full details and add you as their affiliate from there.

Your profile includes:

  • Where You Promote: your channels and your estimated audience size
  • Your Content: your primary format, any secondary formats, and the languages you publish in
  • What You Promote: the product types you typically promote and your topics

Your contact details (address, phone, email) are not part of your profile.

Every active affiliate is in the directory, whether they applied or were added by a Creator. Being in the directory is part of being a Superhive affiliate. However, the directory's default view, the one Creators see first, only shows affiliates who have completed their profiles. Creators can choose View All to see everyone, and if you haven't set up a profile yet, they'll see there that you haven't shared your channels, audience size, or content details.

Why your profile matters: you earn referral commissions once a Creator adds you as their affiliate, and your profile is how Creators find you and decide to work with you. Until your profile is complete, you won't appear in the directory's default view, so keeping it complete and current is one of the most valuable things you can do as an affiliate. It doesn't guarantee that a Creator will add you, so reaching out to Creators directly is still a great way to start a partnership. See How to Approach Creators About Becoming Their Affiliate.

Where Your Profile Comes From

  • If you applied to the affiliate program, your profile is created from your application answers (channels, audience size, formats, languages, product types, and topics) when you're approved. Check that it's still accurate.
  • If a Creator added you, you won't have a profile until you set one up. Your Profile page will say you haven't set up your profile yet.

How to Set Up or Edit Your Profile

  1. Go to your Affiliate Dashboard and choose Profile in the menu.
  2. Click Edit Profile, or Set Up Profile if you don't have one yet.
  3. Fill in the fields (see below). They're the same as the Where You Promote, Your Content, and What You Promote sections of the affiliate application.
  4. Click Save Profile. You'll see "Your profile has been updated."

The affiliate profile fields: Where You Promote with channel links and estimated audience size, Your Content with primary and secondary content formats and languages, and What You Promote with product types and topical focus

Where You Promote

  • Channel links*: add a link for each channel where you share Superhive products, such as YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, Discord, a blog or website, or a newsletter. At least one is required. Click Add another link to add more. Your first link is marked as your primary channel.
  • Estimated audience size*: your combined reach across those channels (subscribers, followers, monthly readers).

Your Content

  • Primary content format*: Video; Text (blog, articles, docs); Audio (podcast); or Other.
  • Secondary content formats (optional)
  • Languages you publish in (optional)

What You Promote

  • Product types you typically promote: the Superhive product categories you cover, such as Addons, Models, or Training.
  • Topical focus: start typing to search for topics, then select them from the list.

Once saved, your Profile page shows your profile the way it appears to Creators.

The "Complete Your Profile" Checklist Step

The Get set up as an affiliate checklist on your Affiliate Dashboard includes complete your profile. This step counts as done once your profile has the following, which is also what it takes to appear in the Affiliate Directory's default view:

  • at least one channel link,
  • an estimated audience size, and
  • a primary content format.

The optional fields don't affect the checklist, but filling them in gives Creators a much clearer picture of what you do.

Tips for a Profile Creators Notice

  • Put your main channel first. Your first channel link is shown as your primary channel.
  • Link to real, active channels. Creators will click through, so make sure each link goes to a channel that shows your recent work.
  • Be accurate about your audience. Follower counts are usually public, and an honest estimate builds trust. A smaller, focused audience can be exactly what a Creator is looking for.
  • Choose topics and product types you actually cover. Creators look for affiliates whose audience matches their products. Picking everything makes it harder to tell what you're about.
  • Add your languages. Creators who want to reach a particular language community can see who publishes in it.
  • Keep it current. When you start a new channel, grow your audience, or change focus, update your profile.
